ABOUT US

The Cawley Hall provides a well equipped venue for a wide variety of gatherings of every size. There is a ramp leading to the front entrance for wheelchair users and also an accessible toilet for disabled people and those with limited mobility.

We are extremely lucky to have a very large garden at the back, suitable for most outdoor events, celebrations, garden parties and camping!

We will soon have outdoor BBQ facilities, and yoga and kettle bells can use the outdoors in the summer. Loads of room for erecting marquees.

Eye Church is in close proximity to Cawley Hall, and an easy walking distance along the country lane – making the Hall a most convenient venue for catering following special Church services and other events at the Church.

DEFIBRILATOR

There is a defribrillator fitted on the front of the Cawley Hall. The device will talk to you and full instructions are given.

WHERE TO FIND US

From Luston Village, take the turning off the B4361, signposted Eye and Cawley Hall - the hall is half a mile up on the left-hand side.

From Ashton, turn down Eye Lane, signposted to Berrington Hall. Cawley Hall is on the right after approx. 1 mile.

HISTORY

The Cawley Hall was built in 1968 on land donated by the Cawley Family of Berrington Hall.

FACILITIES

MAIN HALL

This fantastic space is light and airy, with badminton court markings. It will seat 145 people around tables for a meal, or in rows to watch a performance. There are 17 rectangular lightweight tables and 145 green upholstered chairs available.

STAGE

At the far end of the hall is a medium size stage with proscenium arch, heavy curtains and simple stage lighting.

MEETING ROOM

Leading from the main hall is a separate Meeting Room, suitable for small gatherings of up to 25 people.  There is a Piano in the room available if required.

KITCHEN

At one end of the hall is the very well equipped Kitchen and Bar area. There is a large catering gas cooker, two fridges, a freezer, a commercial dishwasher and a two tier stainless steel catering table for food preparation. There is also a Hot water urn, microwave and kettles.

A serving hatch opens onto the main hall. There is an adequate supply of matching cups, saucers, plates, glass water jugs, beer and wine glasses, tea and coffee pots. Assorted cutlery is available for use but please contact us if you need matching cutlery.

Caterers can bring their own cookware, cutlery and glasses.

CAR PARK

There is an excellent large car park at the front of the building with lighting.

GROUNDS

French windows lead onto a paved terrace with picnic tables adjoining a level grassed area which is suitable for erecting a large marquee. We will soon have the new addition of a large awning over the patio to increase flexibility.
