About The Event
East-Brittany band Planchée are coming to the UK for the first time this autumn, celebrating the release of their second studio album. Firmly rooted in sung circle-dance traditions, and the « avant-deux » 2-couple dance repertoire as well as the fiddle and melodeon traditions of the Gallo area, the trio swings a unique sound around Manu Bouthillier (fiddle, vocals), Dylan James(double-bass, vocals) and Yannick Laridon (accordions) smoothly answering with inventiveness and groove.
They were invited on this tour by melodeon-player and singer Mike James, who established himself in Brittany over 40 years ago as a pillar of Breton dance music in France and abroad.
There will be a licensed bar and traditional breton filled galettes will be available from 7.00pm
